Upper School Support & Services
At Harker, our commitment to your teen’s academic, social and emotional growth starts well before the first day of school. We tailor our students' academic placement to meet their individual needs.
Working with our academic dean, your child will make a four-year curriculum plan as a freshman that fulfills graduation requirements and offers breathing room to explore academic electives and pursue extracurricular activities. Beyond academic support, we offer a variety of support services for your teen and your family to thrive at Harker.
Our academic dean, counselors and teachers provide consistent academic support and actively follow students’ progress. Our academic support services include:
- Academic counseling: Our academic counselors and K-12 learning specialist help students navigate their upper school academic experience, offering advice and guidance throughout these critical years of learning.
- College counseling: Our college counselors work with you and your student to develop a strategic plan as the college search and admission process nears in the junior and senior years. Learn more about our college counseling.
- Harker parent education: To help continually foster a healthy home and school environment, we offer parent workshops on a variety of timely topics.
