Harker’s upper school campus is an inspiring and spacious place where our students explore their academic passions, try new things and just hang out. The upper school campus is truly a neighborhood for our students, and bustles with activity into the evening and on weekends.
Extracurricular Spaces
Upper school athletics has three stellar facilities: a pool and football field opened in 2009 and an athletic center opened in August 2017. Our performing arts program moved into its state-of-the-art facility in February 2018. Our robotics program enjoys a special space in Nichols Hall especially designed for them. And there are beautiful spaces all over campus for students to just hang out and socialize!
- Singh Aquatic Center: 13 swimming lanes with 10 race blocks; electronically interlinked sensors tied to an Omega timing clock, solar heating system; gutterless design for minimal turbulence
- Davis Field: three coach boxes; visitor and home bleachers; monofilament fiber turf; field lights consume half as much energy as traditional lights
- Rothschild Performing Arts Center: 463 seats; hydraulic orchestra pit; full fly tower; classrooms; rehearsal rooms; scene shop; dressing rooms
- Athletic Center: 33,000-square-foot facility; HydroWorx 300 therapy pool and underwater treadmill with hot and cold Grimm Scientific Cryotherm pool; 12,000-square-foot gym; drop-down divider net for simultaneous play; team and visitor locker and meeting rooms; training room for full-time athletic trainer
