Summer @ The Conservatory
Summer @ The Conservatory classes develop self-confidence and responsibility, personal and artistic expression, listening and awareness, stage presence, creativity and teamwork. Preparation like this is invaluable not only to prepare participants for performing arts courses and auditions, but to help students succeed in their academic coursework as well.

Conservatory Presents

In S@TC Presents, passionate young actors take their craft to the next level with immersive classes designed to sharpen their skills, exclusive workshops with industry pros, and daily rehearsals for three dynamic one-act plays. From working with props and costumes to challenging and fun rehearsals, our students get a full professional experience. It all leads up to a grand finale: a polished performance in our stunning, state-of-the-art Patil Theater, where our students shine and show off just how far they’ve come!
Note: There will be a mandatory evening performance on Friday, June 26, from approx. 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Musical Theater Intensive
All Students: Grades 5-12*

The Harker Conservatory is proud to bring our globally recognized, award-winning musical theater program to our summer program.
Set in the state-of-the-art Rothschild Performing Arts Center, Musical Theater Intensive is designed for students who love musical theater and are ready to excel. Students of all experience levels are encouraged to audition. Students’ skill levels will be catered to with individualized training such as performance fundamentals for beginners and advanced techniques for experienced artists.
Our award-winning musical theater program and educators will propel students to the next level in their training. This program culminates in a final showcase performance, featuring all Musical Theater Intensive actors in Harker’s state-of-the-art Patil Theater.
Each student will also leave with an audition cut of a song, ready for any school or regional production.
All MTI applicants must audition live, MTI Interest Form Link Students will be selected by audition, as the program is limited to 25 participants.

Conservatory Intensive
All Students: Grades 9-12*

Conservatory Intensive is for high school students ready to take their acting to the next level. In this program, they’ll tackle a challenging play, sharpen their character analysis, and build ensemble skills while following a professional rehearsal schedule. Intensive builds upon the skills learned in Presents. Completion of a year in Presents (or similar program) is required to audition. The Intensive culminates in a final performance where their growth and talent take center stage in our stunning, state-of-the-art Patil Theater.

Screen Acting Bootcamp
All Students: Grades 9-12*
Fee: $995.00
June 15-18 | 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
In Screen Acting Bootcamp, students learn tricks of the trade in a fun-filled, fast-paced four-day program that focuses on the specific acting techniques needed for film. Working with television and film scripts, our actors develop the performance nuances they’ll need on camera by delving into techniques for commercial and film auditions, including how to cold read, take direction for the camera, and create compelling characters using actual film scripts.
Actors in this workshop can expect to finish with a headshot and a short filmed piece, and be ready for their first audition!
