Harker's Athletic Hall of Fame

Harker's Athletic Hall of Fame, launched Oct. 5, 2018, honors the dedication and sacrifice of Harker's athletes, teams, coaches and sports supporters. Inductees are selected annually based on their exemplifying desirable character traits at Harker and beyond, and having distinguished themselves in competition representing Harker, their colleges, at the professional level or through long service to Harker in the field of athletics. All members of the Athletic Hall of Fame receive an award for display and have their names enshrined on the Hall of Fame wall in the athletic center on the upper school campus. Joelle Anderson ’17 | Soccer

Harker Highlights:

  • Three-time varsity soccer MVP
  • WBAL soccer forward of the year
  • Voted player of the week by the Mercury News and Max Preps
  • 101 goals and 35 assists over three seasons

Ryan Cali ’10 | Basketball

Harker Highlights:

  • Named male athlete of the year and varsity basketball MVP in senior year
  • Selected for First Team All West Bay and All CCS Honorable Mention in 2009-10 school year
  • Captained basketball team to four seasons of 20 wins

Rebecca (Chang) Kaloudis | Volleyball, Soccer

Harker Highlights:

  • Varsity volleyball MVP, 1999-2002
  • Named varsity soccer MVP in 2000, 2001 and 2002
  • Led volleyball team to first CCS tournament in 2000
  • 2001 Milpitas Volleyball Tournament MVP

Christopher McCallaCreary ’11 | Wrestling, Football

Harker Highlights:

  • Posted 104-30 record as a wrestler
  • Won 20 school wrestling tournament championships
  • Crowned freestyle and Greco-Roman Santa Clara County champion and placed third in state championship in 2011
  • Rushed for 450 yards with 62 carries and scored four touchdowns (one receiving) during senior year

Vivian Wang ’18 | Swimming

Harker Highlights:

  • Three-time CCS individual champion
  • Five-time CIF state championship finalist
  • Four-time Harker swim team MVP, league MVP and All-American
  • Broke school records in seven events, all of which still stand

Cole Davis ‘10 | Football, Swimming, Wrestling

Harker Highlights:

  • Three-sport athlete: football (4 years), wrestling (2 years) and swimming (4 years) • Varsity football and swim team captain
  • Achieved a career-high 20 tackles in a single game
  • Second place overall in CCS 50- and 100-meter freestyle

Jessica Khojasteh ’11 | Swimming

Harker Highlights:

  • 2010 CCS Champion in 200-meter individual medley
  • Named to 2011 CCS Scholastic Championship Team
  • Four-time All-American and three-time league MVP
  • 2010 Harker Female Athlete of the Year
  • Set school records in 50-, 100-, 200- and 500-meter freestyle, 100-meter breaststroke and 200-meter

Isabelle Connell ’13 | Track

Harker Highlights:

  • Set five school records at Harker and continues to hold four
  • One of the first two Harker track athletes to compete at the California Interscholastic Federation meet, along with Sumit Minocha ‘13
  • Broke nine school records while running track at Pepperdine University - all still stand
  • Was awarded Scholar Athlete of the Year at Pepperdine, where she was summa cum laude

A.J. Reid ’04 | Football, Basketball, Volleyball

Harker Highlights:

  • Played multiple sports every year from grade 4 until graduation
  • Rushed for 908 yard and seven touchdowns at running back and named varsity team MVP in his senior year
  • As wide receiver, was third in CCS with 42 receptions for 718 yards and 7 touchdowns
  • Key player in Harker’s first CCS basketball playoff win; team and league MVP in senior year

Kristina Bither ’09 | Soccer, Volleyball

Harker Highlights:

  • Helped 2007 team to NorCal volleyball championship and state finals, with a 38-5 record
  • Had four aces and 10 kills in game 3 of 2007 quarterfinals, as a junior
  • MVP and first team in soccer, with 15 goals, as a freshman
  • Honorable mentions in Mercury News’ all-star volleyball and soccer teams; San Francisco Chronicle’s athlete of the week
  • Held volleyball league kill record and WBAL/Skyline division soccer MVP in senior year
  • CCS top scorer and 23rd highest scorer in the nation

  • Played five sports, lettered in four in his senior year

Maverick McNealy ’13 | Golf

Harker Highlights:

  • Qualified for CCS individuals, helped team qualify for CCS for the first time in school history, as a freshman
  • Took second at the USGA Junior Amateur qualifier, then made top 8 at the championships as a junior; also took WBAL title and named to Mercury News’ first team twice
  • Made the quarterfinals of the Northern California Golf Association’s Amateur Match Play Championship and won the Silver Creek Valley Junior tournament
  • Played soccer for Harker in his senior year, scoring two goals

Harker Highlights:

  • Four-time West Bay Athletic League all-league first team honoree
  • Top 50 junior recruit in the nation
  • Division IV state MVP
  • Harker’s Athlete of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Head of School Award recipient (2007-08)
  • San Jose Mercury News first team and 2007 Cal-Hi Sports scholar-athlete
  • First Harker student to sign a national letter of intent

Phyllis Carley | Super Fan

(In Memoriam 1920-2009)

Harker Highlights:

  • Began at Harker in 1952 as a driver, shuttling local students to and from school; later served as secretary for Major Nichols and secretary to the board of trustees
  • Received the inaugural Harker Alumni Association Service Award, which was immediately renamed the Phyllis Carley Service Award (2006)
  • Staunch supporter of Harker athletics for more than 50 years
  • “She always seemed to be on the lookout for the kid(s) who needed an extra dose of attention.” -Pat Walsh

Jason Martin ’07 | Football, Baseball

Harker Highlights:

  • Three-time Central Coast Section all-league varsity baseball first team
  • Played varsity football for three years
  • Only Harker player to run for a touchdown, throw for a touchdown and catch a touchdown pass in the same game (Homecoming 2006)
  • Central Coast Section MVP runner-up, with a batting average of .629 (2000)
