Brian Larsen joined the Harker faculty in 1996, teaching technical theater and media in the Middle School. As the Upper School has grown, he has continued to develop the technical instruction program, and provide production logistics and support for all upper school productions.

While at CSU Hayward, Mr. Larsen was twice nominated for the regional level of the Irene Ryan Acting Competition and received a special commendation for excellence in scenic art from the American College Theatre Festival.

Mr. Larsen has spent his career in a variety of capacities with several community and professional theater companies. Beginning in 1991, he has worked as production manager for Children's Theatre Workshop, stage manager/carpenter/teacher for The Little Theatre, concerts and events technician for Paramount's Great America, and special events technician for Foothill College. He spent the better part of three years on American tours of theater for young audiences, first as a stage manager for California Theatre Center, and then as a tour manager for Living Arts for Students.

Most recently, Mr. Larsen's professional credits have included work as a stagehand for The Mountain Winery and Villa Montalvo, and production work for North American Theatre Technology Incorporated and LJ Productions.
