Jonah "Jonah" Alves
Jonah Alves has been at Harker since 2011. In 2017 she became a full-time upper school counselor. In 2013 she filled in as a counselor, and from 2011-15 she was the upper school JV girls basketball coach, and assistant coach for the girls varsity basketball team.
Previously, she has held roles as a school therapist and mental health clinician with the Santa Clara Unified School District and the Bill Wilson Center. She has also worked as a behavioral health clinician with Dignity Health Medical Foundation in Sacramento. She has experience working with students and families in different mental health settings. Ms. Alves is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Ms. Alves was born in the Philippines and raised in Hayward. She enjoys playing and watching basketball and is a proud mother and wife who loves spending time with her family
