Jennifer "Jennifer" Gargano
Jennifer Gargano is the assistant head of school for academic affairs, a position she has held since 2004. She has worn many hats at Harker over the years, including middle school division head, upper school math teacher, director of community service, JETS coach, math department chair, and member and chair of the judicial committee.
Ms. Gargano is a board member of West Valley Community Services, a Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to housing and food services for the West Valley Community. She is an alumna of Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, in their Executive Scholar program for nonprofit management, and she earned certification in leadership and management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in their executive program.
Prior to joining Harker, Ms. Gargano taught elementary, middle and upper school mathematics in both public and independent schools, and economically disadvantaged minorities through a program called "The High Jump Program," all in the Chicago area, where she was born and raised.
