Katy "Katy" Rees
Before joining Harker in 2013, Katy Rees taught various world and U.S. history courses at Winchester High School in Winchester, Mass. While there, she also was a class advisor, worked with Harvard Model Congress and chaperoned student trips to London, Rome and Washington, D.C. No stranger to the South Bay, Ms. Rees was public relations manager at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga from 2002-06.
In 2010 Ms. Rees participated in a five-week Fulbright-Hayes group study of modern Islamic communities in Egypt and Tanzania. She has participated in seminars through Gilder Lehrman at Columbia University, the Ronald Reagan Library, National Endowment for the Humanities at the University of Hawaii, and the Bill of Rights Institute/Liberty Fund in Washington, D.C.
A native of Virginia, Ms. Rees has run three marathons, including Boston’s, and completed her first triathlon in 2012. She enjoys camping and travel (“especially if it involves good food”), and has 14 nieces and nephews!
