Pilar Agüero-Esparza joined Harker in 2002, to teach art to grades 1-3. In 2006 she joined the upper school faculty.
Ms. Agüero-Esparza has been in arts education since 1990, working in various arts organizations including the San Jose Museum of Art and MACLA/San Jose Center for Latino Arts. In 1998 Ms. Agüero-Esparza received a Public Art Commission from the City of San Jose, for which she created a series of murals for the interior of the Biblioteca Latinoamericana Public Library.
