Upper School Athletics Schedule
The Harker varsity baseball team lost to Jefferson 6-3 Thursday. Junior Tanay Kamat had an RBI double and Junior Nate Kelly added an RBI single and also stole home to help pace the offense.
The Harker Varsity Baseball team defeated Westmoor 2-1 in a Peninsula Athletic League game played on Thursday in Daly City. Senior Pitcher Varun Haltore went the distance allowing just 1 run and 2 hits while striking out 13 in picking up his 4th win of the season. Junior Matt Kennedy had a pair of triples and sophomore Logan Frank added 2 hits to pace the Eagle offense. Junior Nate Kelly scored the tying run in the 5th inning before tripling in the go ahead run in the 6th. With the win, Harker improved to 7-4 on the season and are currently 4-2 and tied for second in the PAL.
The Harker Varsity Baseball team completed a home and home sweep against Jefferson on Thursday, winning 7-4 in a game played at Blackford. Senior Varun Haltore making his final home start of his career pitched 6 strong innings to get the win. Junior Mitchell Kole had two hits and drove in 3 runs, and fellow junior Matthew Kennedy drove in two more runs with a double. With the win, the Eagles improve to 12-10 on the season and will close out its 2017 campaign next week with road games at Mills on Monday and at Menlo on Thursday.
The Harker Varsity Baseball team won its 5th game in a row Monday with an 8-4 win at Mills. Junior Tanay Kamat had 3 hits, including two doubles and drove in two runs. Junior Matt Kennedy added two more hits and also drove in two runs to help pace the 14 hit attack. Senior Varun Haltore, making the final start of his Harker career pitched a complete game, allowing just one earned run and earning his 7th win of the season. The Eagles are now 13-10 on the season and will close out its 2017 campaign with a game at Menlo on Thursday at 4pm.
