Shital Ashar was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She has been a substitute teacher in Utah, and in India has taught Gr. 3-4 science, and math and science and environmental science for high school. Ms. Ashar has completed Edward de Bono’s Cort 1 tools teacher certification, as well as the beginners’ course of “Intel Teach the Future” program.
While getting her degree Ms. Ashar won a Promising Teacher award with Creative Potential, and Spontaneous Assistance and Multi-Faceted Personality awards. She has prepared students for national-level science talent search examinations and science exhibitions.
Ms. Ashar likes to spend time doing creative art work like painting and stitching. She has won many awards for pot painting, face painting, T-shirt painting and woven designs. She loves sports and has won awards in table tennis in school college. Ms. Ashar also loves travelling and photography, and turns those memories into scrapbooks. She also loves dancing to any kind of music, and has a passion for gardening.
