For 10 years prior to joining the Harker faculty in 2000, Jeffrey Draper taught voice, speech, Shakespeare, stage combat and acting skills to children, teens and adults. He has taught acting, voice and speech in the youth and adult programs at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. He has also taught for many other regional theater companies, including: The Willows Theater, Calaveras Repertory Theatre, American Conservatory Theatre, The African American Shakespearean Company, Utah Shakespearean Festival, and TheatreWorks. As an actor he has worked with many local and regional companies such as: Marin Theatre Company, The Willows Theater, San Jose Stage, City Lights Theatre, Calaveras Repertory Theatre, Center Repertory Theater, the Utah and California Shakespearean Festivals, TheatreWorks, 42nd Street Moon, Bus Barn Theatre, and Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
Mr. Draper was education director of the Marin Theatre Company in Mill Valley, CA, where he developed and ran a program of classes and student productions for hundreds of students of all ages. He has also worked as outreach coordinator for the Marin Theatre Company, expanding and developing programs such as the Student Matinee Program, Student Critics Circle and Techie Training.
