Our Staff

Outstanding faculty and staff are one of the hallmarks of The Harker School, and of Harker's summer programs. Our summer teachers, counselors, activity staff and coaches who work with our students:

  • are carefully screened and chosen specifically for their knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, creativity and concern for children;
  • include many who teach or coach during Harker's academic school year;
  • choose to teach Harker summer programs because they're passionate about teaching and passionate about helping kids learn;
  • include many who return year after year;
  • are supervised by veteran Harker directors.

All staff are carefully selected to provide a positive experience for the students. Great staff make a great program!

Administrative Assistant

We are currently looking for an individual to work in a team environment and provide administrative support to the Head of School.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, general office support, faculty recruitment, event and corporate planning, and other special projects or duties, as assigned. 

The preferred candidate must have: 

  • Relevant employment history in an administrative support position (minimum 5 consecutive years preferred) in addition to experience in Recruitment or HR (2 years preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is also preferred.

This is a full-time non-exempt position; competitive salary will be offered but is dependent upon experience. Hours of work are typically, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm; some overtime may be required.  Benefits associated with this position will be discussed during the interview process.

Prior to beginning work for The Harker School, and as a condition of employment, all employees must go through Live Scan Fingerprinting as well as provide a copy of a negative TB test.
