The Harker community reflects the Bay Area’s vibrant culture, and this enriching atmosphere of cultural, religious and economic diversity prepares students to transcend national boundaries. Campus life is rich and lively. The robust after-school programs, along with a full sports program and dozens of clubs, create a bustling, enriching and fun environment for all.
Harker also brings in leaders, visionaries and artists from a wide variety of fields to share their thoughtful, entertaining, educational and engaging expertise and talents, both with the Harker community and the Bay Area community at large. The Harker Concert Series, Harker Speaker Series, Harker Research Symposium and Harker Teacher Institute are a few examples of how Harker continually seeks new opportunities to inspire students and adults alike. For our parents and students, dozens of annual events provide lots of opportunities for faculty, parents, students and alumni to gather, have fun and share their passions.
Launched in 2010, the Harker Eagle Buddies program is a fun buddy system that matches our youngest and oldest Harker students to further foster the K-12 sense of community, and to promote responsibility, relationships and communication. The younger students look up to their upper school buddies, and the older students enjoy being a kid again!
Harker students encourage and support one another and celebrate each other’s efforts and successes with hugs and high-fives. It’s a supportive, safe, fun and nurturing place where kids make friends for life with their peers, their teachers and the staff.
