Tuition and Financial Aid
At Harker, lunch is included in the tuition for grades 6-12, and extended care (7 a.m.-6 p.m.) is included in the tuition for K-Grade 12.
2013-14 Harker Tuition Rates
| Tuition | |
|---|---|
| Kindergarten | $28,500 |
| 1-5 | $28,500 |
| 6-8 | $35,700 |
| 9-12 | $38,900 |
As with most independent schools, tuition at Harker covers significantly less than the actual cost of each child's education. Every year, support from Annual Fund contributions from parents, alumni and friends make a Harker education possible for every one of our students.
Financial Aid
Financial aid awards are based on need, and Harker works with families to try and make a Harker education affordable for them. We encourage families to apply for assistance; however, the obligation for financing a student’s education rests primarily with the family. The financial aid application process is separate from the admission application, though the two must be done simultaneously if a family anticipates needing aid.
Financial Aid Process
- Request financial aid application packet from Harker.
- Submit necessary documents to SSS (School and Student Services).
- The financial aid committee reviews the report from SSS, and mails decision in mid-March.
- As funds are available, Harker grants an award for the difference between the family’s contribution and tuition.
Please request a financial aid application packet from our office at fainfo@harker.org. For further questions, please contact Nan Nielsen at nann@harker.org.
