Family & Alumni Picnic: Harvest Festival
October 9, 2016, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | Blackford Campus
Our annual Harvest Festival is a great way to celebrate the changing of the seasons and to usher in the new school year. The Harvest Festival features longtime favorites like field games and carnival booths sprinkled with new things like the Hamster Dash, a giant hamster ball race. We all love this special day at Harker, rain or shine, because it's a day for us to come together each year and appreciate how lucky we are to be a part of the Harker family.
The Alumni Relations office is once again hosting a barbecue luncheon from 12- 1 p.m. in our shady Alumni Grove for alumni young and old. Reconnect with fellow classmates and reminisce about days of picnics past!
About the Picnic
The Harker Family & Alumni Picnic is an annual event and one of the school's two major fundraisers (along with the gala). This year the family picnic is celebrating 66 years of family fun with the theme Picnic 66. The fun happens on the middle school campus on Blackford Ave. on Sun., Oct. 9 from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
"Picnic" is a little bit of a misnomer, in that the event is really more like a great big family festival. On the day of the picnic the campus will be transformed into an amazing array of games, specialty-themed activities and entertainment for children of all ages. There will also be a silent auction and, of course, plenty of food and treats available for purchase. It is a spectacular day for the whole family! Many families also invite relatives and friends, who then get a glimpse into the family fun side of our Harker community.
We're so excited about the picnic and are happy to answer your questions any time!
